Fleadh Ceol Success for Bally/Tarbert CCE

The Fleadh Ceol was held in Causeway this weekend and was a huge success for the local branch. Winners on the day were: Under 12 Bodhrán, 3^rd place, Antón O’Connor, Under 12 Banjo 1^st place, Timmy Flaherty, Under 12 mandolin 1^st place Timmy Flaherty, Under 15 Duets, 3^rd place, John Neville and Timmy Flaherty. Under 15 English Singing, 1^st place, Saoirse O’Connor, Under 15 Irish Singing 2^nd place Saoirse O’Connor. All have qualified for the Munster Fleadh. A huge congratulations to the 21 under 12 children who took part in the Groupai Ceoil and Ceilí Band competitions at the County Fleadh in Causeway at the weekend. It was the children’s first time competing in the Fleadh and they were outstanding! The Under 12 Ceilí Band cane 3^rd and the Groupa Ceoil came 2^nd which means that the Groupa Ceoil have qualified for the Nunster Fleadh in Kenmare on the weekend of the 16^th to the 18^th July. A big thank you to all the parents for their help and support for the last few weeks! Congratulations to our Under 18 Ceilí Band who came 2^nd in their competition and has qualified for the Munster Fleadh in Kenmare. We wish the best of luck to all in the Munster Fleadh.
